Waveform Technology provides superior, blended bandwidth, carried over our own privately owned and operated fiber optic network throughout Southeast Michigan. We built Our Metro Detroit fiber network to provide secure, reliable connections to our customers and to ensure we always have the necessary capacity to support expansion.
Multi-Path Fiber
Our multi-path network allows us to peer locally with multiple carriers. We use our fiber to pick up each carrier's bandwidth directly at their respective Metro Detroit PoPs (Points of Presence), meaning we don’t rely on a carrier’s backhaul transport. We utilize a combination of layer-1 ring protection and layer-3 BGP4 IP protection to guarantee uptime and give us the ability to heal around any problems which might arise.
Multi-Homed Network
Waveform’s fiber network is truly multi-homed, giving us a dependability and flexibility which single-homed bandwidth providers don’t have. Carrier interruptions are not passed down to our network because data always has an available path. When selecting a bandwidth provider, always ask about upstreams; single-homed bandwidth providers are not as dependable. The independence of a multi-homed network to reliability. Moreover, multi-homed networks often have faster, and more direct, routes.
Truly Reliable Connections
Waveform's network core is built on Cisco 12000 routers. These are excellent routers, built to carrier specifications for stability. They're scalable for expansions to extremely large levels of bandwidth. Waveform uses only Cisco brand equipment for switching and routing.
