Detroit Metro Ethernet Cross Connects

The Metro Ethernet solutions available over Waveform Technology’s fiber optic network allow for flexible Metro Cross Connects from any two points on the network.   This exciting technology enables us to offer far more options to our customers, no matter where they are on our network.  Metro Cross Connects are adaptable to a customer’s specific need.  We call it our extra-long-patch-cord option.

For example, a business might use a Metro Cross Connect to link their office directly to their colocated rack or cage in our data center.  This fast connection reduces the complexity of the companies network and streamlines their workflow.  

Metro Cross Connects can also be used in our carrier neutral data center to establish cross connects to bandwidth providers that are not on net in our facility.  AT&T and MCI both have a presence in our Michigan Data Center and Waveform always provides inexpensive cross connects for our customers.  Moreover, we can use a Metro Cross Connect to establish a direct link from a colocation installation to Level (3) and XO, greatly expanding the range of carriers available to our customers.
